Wing Chun (Yong Chun)
Wing Chun (詠春拳), also romanized as Yong Chun, is one of the most celebrated and widely practiced Southern Chinese martial arts in the world. Originating in Fujian Province and refined in Guangdong, this close-range combat system is renowned for its economy of motion, simultaneous attack and defense, and devastating efficiency. Rooted in the principles of centerline theory and structural alignment, Wing Chun teaches practitioners to redirect and neutralize an opponent's force rather than meeting it head-on.
The system is built upon a small number of core forms — Siu Nim Tao, Chum Kiu, and Biu Jee — each progressively developing the practitioner's structure, footwork, and explosive short-range power. The iconic Wooden Dummy (Muk Yan Jong) training refines technique and toughens the limbs, while Chi Sao (Sticky Hands) develops sensitivity, timing, and reflexive response under pressure.
Our Wing Chun collection features authentic instructional DVDs taught by recognized masters and lineage holders, covering everything from foundational forms and footwork to advanced combat applications, Chi Sao drills, and weapon training including the Six-and-a-Half Point Pole and Butterfly Swords. Whether you are a beginner seeking a solid foundation or an experienced practitioner deepening your understanding, this collection offers authoritative resources to guide your journey in one of China's most refined and effective martial traditions.
